Mike Tomlin addressed the media in his post game press confrernce following the 33-10 versus the New England Patriots. Tomlin called it a great team win and saw contributions from all three phases of the team. Tomin said the team embraced the weather and played accordingly. Tomlin said the team did not step outside of their personality. Tomlin praised the play of nose tackle Casey Hampton and special teamer Keyaron Fox. The Pittsburgh Steelers dismantled the New England Patriots 33-10 Sunday afternoon at Foxborough. Once again the Steelers defense led the way, only giving up a short field touchdown after an early interception by Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers defense only gave up 249 total yards and more importantly forced 4 turnovers. Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel was under pressure all day and Randy Moss chipped in with a few key drops.
On offense, running backs Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore combined for 154 yards rushing and Roethlisberger threw for 179 yards to 6 different pass receivers and 2 touchdown

This could be the game both the Steelers and Patriots look back on that made or broke their playoff chances. The Steelers still lead Baltimore by one game in the AFC North going into today's game. New York Giants and former Steeler wide receiver Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg on Friday, according to multiple sources.
Burress was hospitalized with gunshot injuries Friday night that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The Giants released a statement on the condition of Burress, who was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon, according to the team.

The Steelers wrapped up final preparations of Friday for the New England Patriots. DE Brett Keisel (Knee) and T Marvel Smith (Back) are out as expected an neither practiced all week. CB Bryant McFadden (Forearm), RB Willie Parker (Knee) and CB Deshea Townsend (Hamstring) are all listed as questionable on the Friday injury report and all three had full participation in practice on Friday.

Thanksgiving was good for free agent running back Najeh Davenport, as he was re-signed by the Steelers on Thursday. Davenport was previously released by the Steelers following a 23-6 win at Washington on November 3rd. To make room for Davenport on the roster, cornerback Roy Lewis was released.

The Steelers practiced on Thanksgiving morning in preparation for Sunday's game versus the New England Patriots. DE Brett Keisel (knee) and T Marvel Smith (back) both sat out again on Thursday as expected. CB Anthony Madison (not injury related) and LB Larry Foote (not injury related) both did not work on Thursday as well. RB Willie Parker (knee), WR Santonio Holmes (concussion), CB Bryant McFadden (forearm) and CB Deshea Townsend all practiced fully on Thursday.

The Steelers practiced on Wednesday in preparation for the Week 13 Sunday game with the New England Patriots. DE Brett Keisel (knee), RB Willie Parker (knee) and T Marvel Smith (back) were the only players not to practice. Keisel and Smith have already been ruled out for this week. WR Santonio Holmes (concussion), CB Bryant McFadden (forearm) and CB Deshea Townsend (hamstring) all appear to have practiced fully although head coach Mike Tomlin deemed Townsend doubtful on Tuesday to play this week.
