Steelers Blowout Patriots 33-10

The Pittsburgh Steelers dismantled the New England Patriots 33-10 Sunday afternoon at Foxborough. Once again the Steelers defense led the way, only giving up a short field touchdown after an early interception by Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers defense only gave up 249 total yards and more importantly forced 4 turnovers. Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel was under pressure all day and Randy Moss chipped in with a few key drops.

On offense, running backs Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore combined for 154 yards rushing and Roethlisberger threw for 179 yards to 6 different pass receivers and 2 touchdown passes. The Steelers move to 9-3 on the year and maintain a one game lead over the Baltimore Ravens, who defeated the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots drop to 7-5 on the year.

Next up for the Steelers will be a Sunday meeting at home versus the Dallas Cowboys.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.
