Steelers Six From Around The Web – Friday April 10th

The Steelers have offered a two year contract to quarterback Byron Leftwich, who spent yesterday visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and last week with the Washington Redskins.

The Steelers are also said to be closing in on a contract extension with linebacker James Harrison and it could be finalized as early as Monday, according to agent Bill Parise.

Steelers right defensive end Nick Eason will be the guest speaker at the Change For Youth Banquet on Saturday, April 25th in Greenwood, South Carolibn. The banquet is sponsored by Mt. Zion McCormick YPD and RAYAC Divisions.

The Steelers were on hand as part of the Falcon Foundation\’s second annual charity basketball game, facing off against the Connellsville Police at Connellsville High School.

Several Steelers and former Steelers will be appearing at the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburgh on Saturday, April 18, from noon to 2 p.m. They will be in town courtesy of Steel-Town Memorabilia.

Safety Ryan Clark and his wife Yonka kicked off National Start Walking Day for the American Heart Association.
