Steelers Six From Around The Web – Tuesday June 23rd

According to the Dale Lolley blog, the Steelers are continuing contract talks with offensive tackle Max Starks and tight end Heath Miller among others.

The Register-Herald has a story on offensive lineman, Doug Legursky, and his quest to make the Steelers roster again in 2009. Legursky has been working at center and has also played both guard spots.

Dale Lolley also caught up with rookie defensive lineman Ra’Shon “Sonny” Harris. Harris says he got a dose of reality when the team released six players to trim its roster to 80 last week.

Steelers Owner Dan Rooney is in Washington, D.C. today to prepare to become the US ambassador to Ireland.

Former linebacker Larry Foote is getting settled in Detroit and wants to launch a charter school in Detroit for middle school and high school students. He is also trying to find a home for the Body of Believers Outreach Ministry that he co-founded.

Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau will be honored at an event to kick off the LeBeau Field House Project — a facility to be constructed in celebration of Ohio London’s High School Legend of the Fall. The fund raising dinner/auction will be held 6 p.m. June 27 starting in the London High School Gymnasium in Ohio.
