Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took a break from playing golf and was interviewed on the NFL Network from Lake Tahoe to share his thoughts on the 2009 season.

Steelers backup linebacker Donovan Woods and his brother D\’Juan are working in the afternoon sessions with the Oklahoma State Cowboys from where both went to school. D\’Juan is a wide receiver on the New Orleans Saints roster.

Jim Trotter has an article on SI.com about the wide receiver camp in Minnesota being taught by Jerry Rice and Cris Carter. Backup Steeler tight end, Matt Spaeth is in attendance there as well.

Bob Hertzel reports that the West Virginia Mountaineers are taking notes on defense from the Steelers scheme. WVU defensive coordinator, Jeff Casteel, hopes to better disguise their defensive coverages and blitzes this season.

The son of former Steelers defensive lineman Fred Anderson, Calvin Anderson, is turning some heads on the Pirates Class A team. The Bucs will develop him and then just trade him away after he makes the big club. Father Fred was on the 1978 & 1979 Steeler Super Bowl teams as a backup defensive lineman and special teams player.

Keeping with the father and son theme, Annie Tubbs of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, has a good story on Franco Dok Harris, son of Steeler legend Franco Harris and his political aspirations.
