Steelers Bengals Week 3 Wednesday Practice Injury Report – Carter Sits, Sweed Practices

Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu (knee) remains sidelined and will be out again on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Back-up strong safety Tyrone Carter did not practice as well on Wednesday, but is hopeful to be ready on Sunday. Wide receiver Limas Sweed (foot) and linebacker Lawrence Timmons (ankle) practiced fully on Wednesday and both should be able to play on Sunday. Wide receiver Hines Ward (not injury related) and defensive end Aaron Smith (not injury related) had their normal Wednesday off from practice.

For the Bengals, running back Cedric Benson (ankle), wide receiver Chris Henry (quadricep) and cornerback David Jones (foot) all sat out on Wednesday. Guard Nate Livings (knee) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (ankle) were limited in participation on Wednesday. Tackle Andre Smith (foot) has already been ruled out for this week as well.
