Steelers Six From Around The Web – Thursday October 1st

This morning the Carolina Panthers released former Steelers 2009 sixth-round draft pick Ra\’Shon “Sonny” Harris. Harris was released to make room for Hollis Thomas.

Scott Brown posted about the silent treatment that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Limas Sweed have been giving the media this week. I understand Ben being silent when all the media is wanting to ask is about wrestling and the sexual assault case. Sweed however needs to face the music for his play.

PPG writer Mark Kaboly reports that wide receiver Hines Ward feels that the penalties in Cincinnati game on Sunday are much more than a coincidence.

In the media conference call with the Chargers beat writers on Wednesday, Santonio Holmes called Chargers cornerbacks Quentin Jammer and Antonio Cromartie two normal corners. While Mike Tomlin called them spectacular. I suspect Holmes comments will be hung in the Bolts locker room.

ESPN North blogger James Walker takes a look at the obvious problems with the Steelers and how he would fix them.

Expect to see a ton of pink on Sunday night as several Steelers players will be sporting pink cleats, gloves and wristbands, which will later be auctioned off for breast cancer charities through the NFL.
