7 Things To Look For Sunday Week 11 Versus Kansas City

Below are seven matchups or things to look for on Sunday as the Steelers take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Find The Rhythm – It was quite obvious that the Steelers offense seemed out of sync last Sunday versus the Bengals. This week is the perfect week to get everyone back in rhythm to get ready to face the Ravens. Santonio Holmes and Ben Roethlisberger seem to be on different pages at times as of late.

Special Teams Fix Part IV – This is getting quite disturbing. The latest attempt at fixing the kick coverage was to activate linebacker Donovan Woods from the practice squad and release linebacker Arnold Harrison. Woods will be running down the middle and cracking skulls in the process. The outside gunners need to force the return man inside better. The Chiefs are not a dangerous return team, but neither were the Bengals going into the last game.

Run At Will & Run More – It is no secret the offensive line wants to run more. Mendenhall has shown he can handle the load as the game seems to have slowed down for him. Look for Willie Parker to get a few extra carries this week as well. Anything less than 25 total carries on the day and something may have gone terribly wrong.

Silverback Attack – James Harrison may have a monster game on Sunday versus Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert. Albert was a first-round pick in 2008 and is still having growing pains. Harrison could have a record sack day.

Logan, Wallace & Moore – Sounds like a Pittsburgh law firm, but one of these 3 need to step up in the return game. Mike Tomlin might play musical chairs again with them to see if he can find a spark for a long return. Logan is doing an above average job this season, but is it enough to keep a hold of a precious roster spot?

Carter Back At Strong Safety – If I am the Chiefs, I attack the strong safety position that will be minus Troy Polamalu. Carter has done a stellar job at free safety in the past, but seems to struggle in the other safety spot. One thing is for sure, he has had plenty of work there this season.

Rest Some Starters Late – It would be very nice to get some starters out of the game early. A blowout of the Chiefs would do the Steelers good. More snaps for the young guys might go a long way later in the year. Also would be nice to let Charlie Batch knock some rust off by getting a few forced completions to Limas Sweed.
