Steelers Promote QB Tyler Palko, Release WR Shaun McDonald

On Saturday the Steelers promoted newly signed quarterback Tyler Palko from the practice squad to the active 53 man roster and veteran wide receiver Shaun McDonald was released to make room. Palko was promoted because starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be sidelined Sunday night with post concussion headaches that surfaced late in the week. Dennis Dixon will now start Sunday night versus the Ravens. It would be very surprising if McDonald cleared waivers and be re-signed at a later date.
