Steelers To Sign QB Tyler Palko To Practice Squad

Mike Prisuta is reporting for Steel City Insider that the Steelers will sign quarterback Tyler Palko to the practice squad on Wednesday. It was reported earlier in the day that the Steelers were going to bring in Jeff Garcia and Cleo Lemon for visits, but those stories ended up not being true. For now the Steelers will go with 2 healthy quarterbacks on the roster and Dennis Dixon will serve as the backup to Ben Roethlisberger. No word yet on who was released from the practice squad to make room for Palko. An announcement on the status of Charlie Batch will likely be made on Tuesday.
