When the offense can't manage to get a first down to maintain ball possesion, and they have to rely on Jeff Reed as the team's most potent offensive weapon, it doesn't surprise me that the defense will faulter down the stretch. The defensive guys are tired from being on the field way too much. Also, who's exerting the most energy? It's the defensive backs. They have to keep running with the opposing receivers. When the offense keeps going three-and-out, of course the DBs will end-up getting burned. Could the 4th quarter woes of our defense be attributed to our dismal offsense?
