Steelers Six From Around The Web – Tuesday December 1st

Wide receiver Hines Ward wrote a message to Steelers fans on his Facebook page Tuesday morning, saying that he talked extensively with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and apologized for comments that aired on NBC before the Steelers-Ravens game on Sunday night.

PPG blogger Bob Smizik says the Steelers defense is still one of the best in the league despite having no interceptions from the cornerbacks this season. Smizik goes on to say that William Gay is the weakest link in the defense going forward and may need to be replaced next year.

The Dallas Cowboys signed former Steelers linebacker Donovan Woods to their practice squad on Monday.

Former Steelers running back Gary Russell replaced Jonathan Holland as the kick returner against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving and will handle that job against the Steelers. The Raiders may also be without running back Justin Fargas as well.
