Steelers Hire Al Everest As New Special Teams Coach

The Steelers have made their second coaching staff hire of the day as former 49ers special teams coach Al Everest was hired to replace the recently fired Bob Ligashesky. The 49ers struggled in 2009 in the kick return game, ranking 32nd in the league in punt returns and 23rd on kickoff returns. His kick coverage teams did much better as the 49ers ranked 10th in the league in kickoff coverage and 19th in the league in punt coverage.
