Steelers Re-Sign UFA QB Charlie Batch To Two Year Contract

In a not so shocking move, the Steelers announced on Friday that unrestricted free agent quarterback Charlie Batch signed a two-year contract to remain with the team. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Batch will enter his ninth season with the Steelers since signing in 2002. He spent the first four seasons with the Detroit Lions after being selected by Detroit in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Batch is expected to battle Dennis Dixon for the number two job during training camp. Batch ended the 2009 season as the number three quarterback after injuring his wrist in the overtime loss to Kansas City.
