Steelers Six From Around The Web – Monday March 22nd

The Steelers will find out Tuesday how many compensatory picks they will receive in this year\’s draft. You can view my projections I did on our picks a while ago as they are expected to receive picks for losing wide receiver Nate Washington, cornerback Bryant McFadden and quarterback Byron Leftwich in free agency last year.

Not surprising in the least is that the word came out on Sunday that the Steelers have a pre draft visit set with Idaho guard Mike Iupati. Iupati will be a popular guy prior to the draft as several teams will have him as one of their 30 players to visit with.

Director of football operations Kevin Colbert said Sunday that the Steelers have ruled out taking a quarterback with an early-round pick in next month\’s draft. So just as I said in my Tebow article, get it out of your head now.

Steelers long snapper Greg Warren talks to Steelers.com reporter Teresa Varley about coming back from his knee injury and preparing for the 2010 season. He says the knee is healing fast.

Steelers punter Daniel Sepulveda was interviewed on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh to talk about a variety of subjects including the latest accusations of sexual assault against quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. It is not hard to figure out how Sepulveda really feels about Ben. Listen below.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke publicly for the first time about the Big Ben and told the NFL Network he expressed anxiety over the allegations. “I\’m highly concerned for our franchise and for Ben, personally,” Tomlin said. “My concerns are many, but I think at this time, it\’s kind of appropriate to watch these things and let these things run their course. I think it would be inappropriate for me to have strong feelings one way or another with the investigation being ongoing and so forth. Like everyone else, you watch these things unfold.” Tomlin was down in Orlando at the NFL Annual Meeting and you can watch the video below.
