Steelers Six From Around The Web – Tuesday April 27th

Former Steelers quarterback Mike Tomczak was arrested on Monday after a domestic dispute with his wife at their home in Bell Acres. This is the first time Tomczak has been charged in several police trips to the couple\’s home for domestic problems. Geesh, what is going on? Get a damn divorce, will you? I am tired of all the negative light lately on current and former Steelers players.

Outside linebacker Lindsey Witten from Connecticut was a late add to the undrafted free agent list late Monday and according to VandySports.com, center Bradley Vierling may be added as well. This could be just for a tryout mind you, so do not consider it a done deal until a transaction is posted. There is still some confusion as well if Virginia Tech defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor will indeed be used as a fullback or not as well. He played it in high school, but at last report Taylor was close to 290 I believe. That is one big fullback.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette beat writer, Ed Bouchette, has a post draft article on new running back Jonathan Dwyer. Jeff Schultz of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution explains why Dwyer will overcome the bad pre-draft rumor.

The extension for cornerback Bryant McFadden runs through the 2012 season and will pay him $7.5 million over the three years. McFadden was set to make 3.75 million base salary as well as a 250K workout bonus in 2010. I should have the contract numbers shortly with the full breakdown.

The Steelers first 2 draft picks, center Maurkice Pouncey and outside linebacker Jason Worilds had on air interviews on 93.7 the Fan radio that I forgot to post.

Steelers.com has a new video of receiver Antwaan Randle El during the latest OTA session in Pittsburgh. It is good to see his smiling face again. El is trying to be an all purpose receiver who can play every receiver position on the field.
