Steelers Six From Around The Web – Monday May 3rd

The behavioral evaluation of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will only take “days” according to a Steelers source rather than weeks. If all goes well, he could be allowed back with the team very soon.

Perhaps the biggest news of training camp is that third year wide receiver Limas Sweed might have torn his Achilles tendon on Sunday. The team will likely announce today if he is indeed done for the season and Sweed will likely be placed on injured reserve.

LaMarr Woodley said he will attend every offseason practice, even non-mandatory ones, despite not having a new contract yet. Woodley admits that the 0 percent rule, which stipulates a player\’s total compensation as part of a contract extension cannot exceed 30 percent in an uncapped year, could be a potential problem in getting a new deal done.

Some of the Steelers will be playing in a charity basketball game at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wheeling Park High School in Wheeling, West Virginia. It is not known which players will make appearances at this time.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan has cleared up the Santonio Holmes – iPod ordeal, for now. Regardless, it is easy to see now why the Steelers sent Tone packing. I have a feeling this is not the last time his name shows up in the negative light.

Steelers.com has a great video feature with the Steelers rookies getting interviewed following there first taste of mini-camp this past weekend. You can watch the video below.
