Steelers Six From Around The Web – Friday August 13th – Pouncey Ready To Pounce On Lions Edition

Steelers rookie Maurkice Pouncey thinks he may get his first action on Saturday against Detroit at center in relief of Justin Hartwig or Doug Legursky. Tomlin did say thought that Pouncey will see time at both center and right guard during the game.

Rookie wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered a stinger in his neck a few days ago, but said that he will play Saturday night against the Detroit Lions. He reportedly had his worst practice of training camp on Thursday and wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery let him and the other rookie receivers in camp know about it.

Ed Bouchette blogged that he thinks quarterback Byron Leftwich should start Saturday against Detroit and that Ben Roethlisberger should not play at all and gives his reasons why.
