Steelers Six From Around The Web – Wednesday August 18th – Robo Punter To The Kick Off Rescue Edition

It was music to the ears of Steeler Nation on Tuesday as Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced that punter Daniel Sepulveda will get a chance to kick off for the first time in a game when the Steelers play the New York Giants Saturday night. Tomlin says he has been impressed with him so far in camp as he looks to give the team a legitimate kick off specialist in addition to his punting duties.

Running back Rashard Mendenhall is getting more attention now from defensive players who are making a concerted effort to knock the ball out since the fumble problem resurfaced against Detroit last Saturday. This has been a knock on Mendenhall since his rookie preseason games and must be fixed.

Mike Bires has a good article in the Beaver County Times on the rookie wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown as they fight to make the roster and live up to the great tradition of Steelers wide receivers that have come before them.
