Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu said on Tuesday he was not even close to returning should the team of made the playoffs last year. It was not until late March, early April, when his knee felt well enough to start even playing some basketball.
Newly acquired Steelers fullback Dwayne Wright spoke with the media after Tuesday afternoon's practice in Latrobe. He is quite talkative and the Steelers have had eyes on him a bit. Considering his size and what he excels at, one has to wonder if rookie running back Jonathan Dwyer might be out a little longer with the hamstring problem.
Adam Schefter is making his tour around training camps and talked to Steelers receiver Hines Ward on Tuesday. Schefter writes that he thinks quarterback Charlie Batch will be dumped upon the return of Ben Roethlisberger from suspension as the Steelers will not be able to keep four quarterbacks on its 53 man roster. He is likely right.
