Steelers Six From Around The Web – Wednesday September 8th – Ryan Clark Still Getting Hate Mail Edition

Steelers free safety Ryan Clark joined the FAN Morning Show on Tuesday and in studio for his first of what is expected to be a weekly Tuesday appearance on the station. Ryan talks on many subjects including the fact he is still getting hate mail from Dolphins fans.

The release for the week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons is up on Steelers.com and is complete with depth chart. One interesting nugget I uncovered yesterday is that Jonathan Scott is the backup long snapper behind Greg Warren with James Harrison now behind him. Position flexibility. Got to love it.

Scott Brown has a good read on the newest offensive captain, Heath Miller, who just happens to be quite the poker player and one you will never see celebration in the endzone after scoring a touchdown. Mike Bires has a Q&A with Miller this morning in the Beaver County Times. Miller is primed for a huge season in 2010.

Beaver County Times beat writer Mike Bires writes that the Steelers will go 9-7 in his 2010 season preview and also has up a player-by-player look at the 53 man roster with a blurb on each.

ESPN has it\’s week 1 power rankings up and the Steelers have jumped up from 19 to 18 since the injury to Byron Leftwich. I can\’t believe they have us behind the Redskins even. Oh well, go ahead and under estimate the black and gold. It motivates us.

If you missed it yesterday, the Steelers signed Al Woods to the practice squad and released 7th round draft pick Doug Worthington. I have a little info I dug up on Woods here.
