Steelers Titans Week 2 Friday Practice Injury Report

The Steelers wrapped up practice preparations on Friday for the week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday in Nashville. T Max Starks (ankle) and NT Casey Hampton (hamstring) both sat out for the third straight day of practice and both are listed as out for this week. NT Chris Hoke will start in place of Hampton while T Jonathan Scott will likely get the nod at left tackle in place of Starks. LB Jason Worilds (shoulder) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (quad) both sat out again and both are listed as doubtful. This means that rookies LB Thaddeus Gibson and WR Antonio Brown will both likely be active this week and both will likely get time on special teams. CB Bryant McFadden (groin), WR Arnaz Battle (knee) and QB Byron Leftwich (knee) all practiced fully on Friday and all three are listed as probable on the injury report. Leftwich will likely be healthy enough to serve as the emergency inactive No.3 QB this week.

A group of knee injuries could affect Sunday\’s game for the Titans. Tackle Mike Otto (knee) remained absent from practice on Friday with a knee injury and will out this week. Defensive end Williams Hayes (knee) practiced in full but remains questionable for Sunday after returning from a torn MCL and defensive tackle Tony Brown practiced in full Friday after missing Thursday\’s practice with an excused coach\’s decision. Brown is questionable for Sunday.
