James Harrison Fined 75K For Hits On Browns Players

It is pretty much official now as Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been fined $75,000 for the hits on Browns receivers Joshua Cribbs and Mohamed Massaquoi. Falcons defensive back Dunta Robinson was also fined $50,000 for the hit on Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson and Patriots linebacker Brandon Meriweather was fined $50,000 for two hits against the Ravens on Sunday. It is being reported that the Harrison fine was larger because he is being termed a repeat offender. Bill Parise, the agent for Harrison, has said that Harrison will indeed appeal the fines. No suspensions were handed out to any of the three players. Judy Battista reports via Twitter that NFL wanted to give players and clubs fair warning before upping discipline. Teams, coaches and players will be told on Wednesday about harsher penalties.
