Sound FX: Mike Tomlin Wired Up Against Panthers

If you have not seen the Sound FX of Mike Tomlin wired up for the Carolina Panthers game last week, it is indeed quite a post Christmas present for Steelers fans. The comments of doing the Dougie to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the teasing of Emmanuel Sanders for not getting into the endzone is priceless. He tells Sanders to watch Rashard Mendenhall get his money. This is one of the best mic'd up sessions of this season and it gives a great glimpse of Tomlin and other Steelers players on the sideline during the game. Priceless. Report: James Harrison Has 75K Fine Reduced To 50K

The NFL reduced the early season fine of Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison from $75,000 to $50,0000 according to Bill Parise, the agent for Harrison. Harrison initially denied the appeal that Harrison had made previously, but the league apparently has had a change of heart after reviewing the hit once again. The fine in question we think stems from the hit on Browns wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi way back in week 6 of this season. Also receiving fine decreases today were Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather and Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson according to league sources. Here is the Read more [...]

Steelers 2010 Sack Analysis & Blame Totals

As we enter the final week of the season, I thought we would have a look back at the 41 sacks the Steelers have given up this season. The tables all should be self explanatory and the links in Sack #/Game # column link to individual pages where you can see animated gifs of each sack that are also linked to the replay video on NFL.com. Some of the sacks blamed on Roethlisberger might be able to be blamed on scheme or coverage as well, so keep that in mind. Let me know any you disagree with and I will look at my notes and review the blame. The S in the package denotes QB in the shotgun. Sack Blame Read more [...]
