Steelers Six From Around The Web – Monday December 27th – Playoff Seed Edition

If the season ended today, the seeds would be 1. Patriots 2. Steelers 3. Chiefs 4. Colts 5. Ravens 6. Jets. If the Steelers win against the Browns next week they keep the #2 seed, but if they lose and the Ravens and Jets win, the Steelers get the #6 seed. The Colts and Jaguars will battle for the lone remaining playoff spot.

If you are curious about how former Steelers kicker Jeff Reed is doing with the 49ers, he missed a 34 yard field goal yesterday and had a horrible tackle effort on a 84 yard kickoff return.

If you missed the Top 10 Steelers of all time on Christmas eve, you can see the video of each player here.

Rashard Mendenhall had his 100-yard game against the New York Jets taken away from him by Elias Sports Bureau after they took away one yard making it a 99-yard performance.

Steelers running back Isaac Redman recently answered questions from Teresa Varley on a variety of topics for Steelers.com.

Browns all-purpose running back Peyton Hillis missed some time on Sunday after taking a shot in the ribs. Mike Bell subbed for Hillis and carried seven times for 27 yards.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

The Pittsburgh writers made excuses for this shortcoming.
Yesterday, on a local talk show the question was…”What do the Steelers have to do to go deep into the playoffs.”
The obvious answer is…SCORE AT LEAST ONE MORE POINT THAN THE OPPOSITION.
Last week they justifiably hammered the new punter..
    Again the solution is obvious.
Score touchdowns and or field goals and the punter becomes and OBSERVER….
