Steelers Jets AFC Championship Wednesday Practice Injury Report
The Steelers began their on field practice preparations on Wednesday for their Sunday night AFC Championship Game against the New York Jets at Heinz Field. S Will Allen (knee), WR Arnaz Battle (illness), CB Bryant McFadden (abdomen) and S Troy Polamalu (achilles) all sat out on Wednesday. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) was limited in the Wednesday session. Polamalu and Battle will be ready later in the week, while McFadden and Allen are cause for some concern until they practice. Smith has yet to practice fully since returning from his triceps surgery.
For the Jets on Wednesday DE Jason Taylor (concussion) did not practice, although Rex Ryan said he's been cleared to practice on Thursday. CB Drew Coleman (knee), CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), S James Ihedigbo (knee/ankle) and KR Brad Smith (groin) were limited in practice. CB Antonio Cromartie (groin), DL Mike DeVito (neck), WR Santonio Holmes (quad), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), DL Sione Pouha (back) and QB Mark Sanchez (right shoulder) all went through practice fully.
