Video: Mike Tomlin Scolds Bob Holtzman Of ESPN For Giving Out Plays

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin fired off on Wednesday at ESPN reporter Bob Holtzman for giving away information last week on trick plays the Steelers might use against the Ravens in the Divisional Round playoff game. Before the game Holtzman reported that the Steelers might use a gadget play. “Two Steelers have told me, if they catch the Ravens in the right defense, they have a trick play ready to go today that they\’ve never run before,” Holtzman said prior to the game. He added it was a play on which somebody who typically doesn\’t pass would throw the ball — and that it wouldn\’t be passing wide receiver Antwaan Randle El.

Fast forward to today and Holtzman asked Tomlin how much extra time it takes to prepare for coach Rex Ryan\’s Jets defense. Tomlin fired back with glaring eyes saying, “It depends on whether or not you give him my plays, you know.” He then went to the next question.

You can see the exchange at the 1:34 mark in the video below:

I like to watch a good football game but bad officiating I cant take I refuse to watch NFL football the Steelers are a protected class and the situation stinks its good theres a lockout maybe they’ll repent of their unjust scales and timbers in the eyes. I use to like the steelers because of school colors but not any more

Higgins, ALL teams get questionable calls that go for them AND against them…the Steelers are just scrutinized more because of the world stage that they play on and the fact that they just know what to do to WIN…to say they are a “protected class,” and basically insinuate that the NFL is fixing games is a JOKE, and frankly, it makes you look like an idiot. And I don’t think the Steelers will miss you as a viewer, they have plenty of real fans to support them (they don’t call it “Steelers NATION” for nothing!).

Oh, yeah…and the fact that you “use[d] to like the steelers because of school colors” COMPLETELY discredits anything you say about football (and sports!). I mean, really?!? You picked a team to root for because you liked the pretty colors?!? WOW!!
