Steelers Super Bowl XLV Injury Report Friday Practice Report – Steelers vs Packers
The Steelers wrapped up their Friday practice indoors at Texas Christian University and the news is as expected as C Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) was not able to go on Friday with his high ankle sprain and has been ruled out for Super Bowl XLV Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers. The Steeler will turn to 2008 undrafted free agent Doug Legursky who will make his first career start at center in place of Pouncey. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) was also ruled out on the final injury report and will not make it back from a ruptured triceps Oct. 24 against the Miami Dolphins. The Steelers will have a Saturday walk-through dress rehearsal on Saturday according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Friday for the Packers, LB Erik Walden (ankle) was limited once again and listed as questionable. WR Donald Driver (quadricep) also was limited for a second straight day as expected and is listed as probable. T Chad Clifton (knees), C Jason Spitz (calf) and LB Frank Zombo (knee) all practiced fully and all three players are listed as probable on the Friday injury report.
