Steelers Also Tendered Punter Daniel Sepulveda

Ed Bouchette reported this morning that punter Daniel Sepulveda was also tendered a contract last week with the other 5 players. Once again that tender could mean nothing just like the Willie Colon, Matt Spaeth and William Gay tenders as Sepulveda has 4 years accrued and is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. The only way he becomes restricted is if the NFL decides to use the 2010 free agency rules once again meaning 4th and 5th year players are considered restricted free agents and not unrestricted free agents. The tender level placed on Sepulveda is not known, but is believed to be the low level tender that would pay Sepulveda around 1.275 million if he were to end up as a restricted type and sign. You can read my full explanation of the tenders here where I break down the previous 4 players tendered.
