Steelers Six From Around The Web – Monday March 28th – Polamalu Pitches Edition


Bob Labriola has his latest installment in a series of stories chronicling the 52 playoff games in Steelers history. The latest article focuses in on the 1973 AFC playoff loss to the Oakland Raiders in the divisional round.

The Tribune-Review reports that the Pittsburgh Stadium Authority officials plan to vote today on a key piece of funding needed to build a North Shore street named after Steelers Hall-of-Fame coach Chuck Noll.

Steelers receiver Mike Wallace will headline a group of former Ole Miss Rebels who are set to take part in an awards ceremony and panel discussion on the National Football League during 2011 Grove Bowl Week festivities down in Oxford, Mississippi.

Steelers safety Troy Polamalu threw out the first pitch on Friday night to catcher Joe Mauer, a fellow Head and Shoulders spokesman.

NFL.com draft guru, Mike Mayock, has his list up of the best 32 players in the 2011 NFL Draft. Mayock cautions that this is not a mock draft, but players he would bang the table for.

Emmanuel Sanders posted a new video of some highlights of his rookie season along with some college highlights as well. Scouts Inc.\'s Matt Williamson says Sanders is on the verge of a breakout in 2011 and we have been on board with this thought a while as well.
