Steelers Six From Around The Web – Wednesday March 30th – Ward Winning More Than Sheen Edition

Hines Ward beat Bengals defensive end Carlos Dunlap in the first round of the Madden 12 cover contest and is now in the Sweet 16 squaring off against 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis with the winner moving on to face the winner of the Andre Johnson, Michael Vick match-up. Make sure to vote for Hines.

Ward is winning more than Charlie Sheen as of late as he and his dance partner Kym Johnson also advanced to the next round of Dancing with the Stars. Perhaps Hines is on the Tiger Blood.

The Steelers brass were present at the University of Texas Pro Day on Tuesday to get a good look at Aaron Williams, Curtis Brown, Chykie Brown and Sam Acho. Curtis Brown is off course scheduled to make a pre draft visit to Pittsburgh soon and I have him as a possible 2nd round choice in my latest Steelers mock draft. Acho spent several minutes visiting with Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert after his work-out.

As far as Williams goes, his draft stock could be dropping and The Path to the Draft crew debates where he will be drafted after running a 4.42 40-yard dash on Tuesday. Here are some quotes from the Pro Day as well.

Speaking of pre draft visits, Utah State cornerback Curtis Marsh is scheduled to make one to Pittsburgh as is Auburn defensive tackle Zach Clayton.

Ryan Clark made his weekly appearance on 93.7 The Fan to talk about Ward, the Final Four, his Mo’Nique Show appearance and his relationship with fellow Troy Polamalu.
