Episode #49 of The Terrible Podcast is up and in part 1 of this podcast episode David Todd and I discuss the recent lifting of the NFL lockout by Judge Susan Nelson and raise several questions regarding free agency, the draft and the trading of players that exist while the owners appeal is heard. We then move on to talk about the Steelers pre draft press conference that Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin held yesterday and discuss a few players the Steelers will likely consider should they hold on to the 31st overall pick. We also discuss the options of the Steelers trading up or down on Thursday as well.
In part 2 we are joined by Tony Villiotti from DraftMetrics.com to discuss his great site and how he came about focusing on relative value as it relates to draft position along with the value groups and positions. Tony shares his knowledge of studying the draft over an extended period of time and what positions offer the lowest risk in certain rounds and picks of the draft. We also discuss his rankings of NFL Teams by draft efficiency and where the Steelers finish. We end by getting his thoughts on who the Steelers should draft in round 1 should they keep the pick.
