Steelers Six From Around The Web – Tuesday April 26th – Waltzing Back To Work Edition

Safety Ryan Clark, the Steelers player rep, was telling teammates yesterday evening that they are free to report to work today. Of course the owners have appealed the ruling of Judge Susan Nelson, so we shall see what this morning brings. Clark will be on 93.7 The Fan this morning for his weekly spot and it should be an interesting interview.

The Steelers held their 2011 pre draft press conference on Monday and really did not reveal too much as expected. Ed Bouchette and Gerry Dulac do a good job recapping the nothing presser in the video below.

Scott Brown thinks the Steelers will draft a defensive lineman with their first pick should they stay put and says there appears to be some debate with the Steelers brass whether Texas cornerback Aaron Williams is worthy of an early round selection.

Former Steelers offensive lineman Ted Petersen had his Illinois home destroyed by a fire on Easter Sunday, but firefighters reportedly were able to recover his 1979 and 1980 Super Bowl rings from the home.

Hines Ward and dance partner Kym Johnson had another great showing last night on Dancing with the Stars as they danced the Viennese waltz and earned a score of 27. You can watch his performance here.

Ambassador Dan Rooney said Monday he has no plans on coming home soon and will remain the U.S. ambassador to Ireland. Rooney said his quotes in the Irish Times recently were misinterpreted.
