Video: Steelers Kicker Swayze Waters Kicking Long Field Goals

The Steelers signed free agent kicker Swayze Waters to their offseason roster following the Super Bowl and he is scheduled to be one of probably two kickers in camp for the Steelers when it opens in Latrobe. He went to college at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) and has spent time in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders. The other day after his workout at the local high school, Swayze decided to try a few long field goals for some friends of his dad who were in attendance. You can watch the video below of him making 60,65, and 70 yard field goals using week and half old NFL balls. Waters wrote on his blog that there was a very slight wind left to right at his back. His new website can be found at www.swayzewaterskicking.com. Great leg for sure.

I am, I'm me. 40 something, retired and a life long Steelers fan.

Great find. I hope he can also kickoff and put the ball through the back of the endzone consistently as well. These kicks are easier of course when there is no pressure but it looks like he has a strong leg.
