Roethlisberger Confirms Steelers Offense Have Held Workouts

WDVE reporter Mike Prisuta reported on Twitter this morning that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told him today that the offense has indeed held players-only workouts since the lockout started. This confirms the news that wide receiver Limas Sweed told us on the Terrible Podcast a few weeks ago as well as the report that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders also had gotten together with the offense as well during the offseason to take part in some pitch and catch with other members of the Steelers offense.

Roethlisberger has been good about texting and emailing players, according to Sweed, about getting together at an undisclosed location away from the media spotlight to get these workouts in. Roethlisberger is holding his annual football camp today and Tuesday at the Seneca Valley High School and Sanders is posting a few pictures from the camp as well and also told Ray Fittipaldo from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette that they have had three workouts so far.
