Ward thanks all of his fans for their love and support and says he is leaving things now in the hands of his attorney. He notes that he has been working out hard and can not wait to get back to playing football again and making another run at the Super Bowl in 2011.

Ward is set to appear in DeKalb County State Court on October 6th and he faces a misdemeanor driving under the influence charge that is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. His Atlanta based lawyer Andrew Ree claims that Ward was not impaired by alcohol while driving and cooperated fully with police.
