Report: Plaxico Burress To Visit Pittsburgh On Friday

ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen reports that it appears likely that wide receiver Plaxico Burress will meet with both the Giants and the Steelers later this week according to team and league sources.

Burress reportedly will have dinner with Giants head coach Tom Coughlin on Friday night and the plans are for Burress to then fly to Pittsburgh to meet with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

It is believed that Burress is seeking a two-year $10 million contract, according to reports, after he served a two-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to weapons charges. Burress is represented by super agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Stay tuned.

I can’t believe people are even talking about this. Even if Plax was one of the top WR’s in the league (which he isn’t) and didn’t have character issues (which he does), the Steelers are already in Salary Cap trouble, and they’re already stacked at WR. There are a dozen other positions they have an actual need to fill, and already no money to spend. Why even talk to Plax??

For the record I have been against this since the rumors started if you look back at the post I have done on it and the time we have dedicated to it in the podcast. I will be VERY surprised if this happens.

I dont know what you all are talking about but Plax would be an excellent fit. Hines, Plax, Wallace, Brown, Sanders. Ben will have weapons of mass destruction!!
Talking about the steelers are stacked up on WR’s you must dont know about football. You basically saying teams cant upgrade PLEASEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
