Steelers Agree To Terms With P Daniel Sepulveda

Steelers Digest is reporting via Twitter that the Steelers have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent punter Daniel Sepulveda pending a physical. No terms of the deal are known yet, but it comes as a bit of a surprise as it had been reported that Sepulveda would be visiting the Texans today and it looked as if they were prepared to let him walk.

Sepulveda was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft and has suffered multiple right ACL injuries with the latest coming in a Sunday night 13-10 victory over Baltimore last season. Punter Jeremy Kapinos, who was signed when Sepulveda was placed on IR last year, remains on the roster and the Steelers also have undrafted punter Aaron Bates on the roster as well as a camp leg. Due to the new CBA rules, Sepulveda will not be able to practice until August 4th.
