Limas Sweed sat out practice today after strong practice on Monday with a shoulder injury and Crezdon Butler (quad), Cortez Allen (hamstring), Aaron Smith (knee) and Brett Keisel (ankle) were also sidelined today. The status for Smith and Keisel against the Eagles is still unknown at this time. Ike Taylor (thumb) received some work today has he was wearing a cast on his broken left thumb. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. LaMarr Woodley reportedly was given the day off as well.

Rookie Cameron Heyward had another spirited practice today against both Jonathan Scott and Foster. Chris Kemoeatu was back in action at left guard today with Legursky getting some time with the first team at the right guard spot. Tony Hills will start at that spot Thursday night against the Eagles and also received first team reps as did Foster at left guard.

Roethlisberger was picked off by Ryan Clark on first play of red zone drill today and Byron Leftwich threw a pick to Mortty Ivy as well. Ivy continues to have a great camp by many reports. Ward made a nice over the shoulder catch in traffic today while Lewis had a nice pass breakup of a pass intended for Brown.

Swayze Waters showed off his distance and accuracy on Monday as he made kicks from 48 and 54 yards in one session.

The Steelers break camp on Wednesday, so that means Tuesday is the final practice at Latrobe.

Undrafted free agent running back John Clay walked off the practice field Monday and was chased down by a Steelers staff member. No one has been able to get to the bottom of this as of yet.

Not too much to be learned from the Mike Tomlin post practice Q & A, but here it is anyway.

Monday camp reports credit to Kaboly, Brown, John Meyer, Mike Prisuta and Bill Phillips. I highly suggest following all of them on Twitter.
