Steelers Rookie T Marcus Gilbert Likely To Practice On Monday

Sunday is an off day for the Steelers, but it appears they will be getting at least one of their sidelined rookies back at practice when they resume practicing on Monday. Second-round tackle Marcus Gilbert tweeted this afternoon, “Cant wait to get out to practice tomorrow! #legggooo,” and that can only mean he has been cleared to return to full practice. Gilbert has been sidelined for a week with a hamstring injury that he suffered last Saturday.

Gilbert is not the only member of the rookie class that has missed time as both rookie cornerbacks Curtis Brown and Cortez Allen have been sidelined reportedly with hamstring injuries as well. Both have been working on the side with head trainer John Norwig. Both could be close to joining Gilbert in returning to practice on Monday.
