Steelers Sign WR Kenneth Moore & Release WR Adam Mims

The Steelers made one transaction today as it was announced that they have signed free agent wide receiver Kenneth Moore and released wide receiver Adam Mims. Moore will wear No. 18.

Moore was originally drafted by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft after playing his college ball at Wake Forest. He spent much of the 2008 and 2009 season with the Panthers, but was waived prior to the start of the 2010 season. The Colts signed him in Oct. 2010 primarily as a kick returner, but he was waived soon afterwards for fumbling.

Mims was part of the first group of undrafted free agents the Steelers signed at the beginning of camp, but missed quite a few practices due to injury. He was scheduled to be held out of the Friday game against the Redskins due to injury.
