Steelers Six From Around The Web – August 23rd – Essex Biggest Loser Edition
Bob Labriola and Mike Prisuta have a new episode of Talkin Steelers Football up on Steelers.com and they discuss the new Lawrence Timmons contract among other Steelers tidbits.
The Steelers and the mayor are scheduled to hold a press conference on Wednesday to provide details of a new road that will be named for former coach Chuck Noll.
Dale Lolley tweeted that the newly re-signed Trai Essex said that he remained unsigned until this week because he had put on too much weight during the offseason. Essex had been recovering from ankle surgery during the offseason, but has lost two babies worth of weight according to him.
David Todd and I recorded a new episode of The Terrible Podcast on Monday and we had Ed Bouchette on for an interview for the second part of the show.
Bouchette was also on 93.7 The Fan this morning to discuss the new Timmons contract and give his thoughts on how the Steelers will now deal with Troy Polamalu and Mike Wallace going forward.
Falcons head coach Mike Smith said on Monday that he will likely play his starters a significant portion of Saturday night’s game against the Steelers.
