Season 2, Episode 4 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I start by looking at all the recent Steelers signings, 9 of their own unrestricted free agents, 2 of their restricted free agents and their first signing of a player from outside the organization which was announced on Tuesday morning in the form of tight end John Gilmore.
After that we get into the roster battles. This is the most important and most interesting topic throughout the preseason and we will be sharing out thoughts and opinions on every podcast from now until the 53-man roster is set in early September. We discuss the depth at quarterback and who will be the odd man out, the battle between four running backs for two positions, finding depth at tight end and how I came up with my first 53-man roster prediction. We also take an early look at the wide receiver position and whether the courting of Plaxico Burress tells us anything new.
We close with a brief discussion of the great show on Ed Sabol, founder of NFL Films, which aired last night on the NFL Network. It is a great hour and worth catching when it re-airs this week. Thanks for listening!
