Mike Tomlin Ravens Post Game Press Conference Week 1

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his post game press conference to discuss the Steelers 35-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Baltimore. Tomlin said the Steelers were beat in all three phases of the game today. Tomlin said linebacker James Harrison suffered a knee contusion late in the game, but he did not think it will be serious. Tomlin also said that James Farrior was not injured and that the game plan was to get Larry Foote in the game today because he thought he earned it during the preseason.

Below is the audio from the press conference and I will have a recap of the game later on in the day.

That sums it up. They got beat. However, they’re the Steelers, and they will pick themselves back up and right the ship. They have too much pride and experience to let this slow them down. This will wake them up.

  • Big One81

Ray-Ray and friends did their JOB!!!!

  • Johnboshard

It was an ugly ugly game with mistake’s all over from offense to defense, hope this is a big wake up call and they get back to playing steelers football.

  • Defenseislife

I sure hope so! I can’t believe how old and slow the defense looked today. They gotta take care of the ball better. I am sure that this will be a wake up call for them.

  • TWOSTEELERSFANS1

WELL THE WAY I SEE IT,IT NEVER MATTERED BEFORE THAT WE GAVE THEM THE FIRST GAME BECAUSE OF LACK OF PREPERATION WE ALL KNOW WHO GOES HOME FIRST AT THE END OF THE SEASON,NOW DONT WE.

  • Kyle Owens

Coach Tomlin forgot about the 4th phase of the game the Steelers lost: Coaching. Cam Cameron was a step ahead of Lebeau all game. Flacco looked liked Aaron Rogers, The Steelers did nothing to sure up the secondary this off-season. The other bright spot was Lawrence Timmons, This kid is a star.

im not going to lie im a hawks fan and i bet the hawks get shit on because pitt is going to be furious over this game

  • Kareem Daniels

Time to let some of the young guys play so they will be ready by playoffs. Ziggy should be starting. Aaron Smith got dominated all day. Hood started on the line most of last season when they held people to 62 yards a game. Keenan Lewis needs to be starting in McFadden’s place. Tomlin has the let the youngsters play. Especially, when they’ve earned it.

  • Smittyflash24

yes this was a terrible outing….we will probably regroup and meet the ravens in the playoffs, the issues is not only is the defense slower and older,I have yet to see anything that Dick LaBeau has done to make adjustments to a spend offense…at 70 yrs old the game has passed this man by….and for Mike Tomlin when do you stop acting like an polictally correct(in press conf)head coach and start busting Big Ben ass when he play terrible…you have shown over and over that he can free lance the offense and then expect the old ass defense tocover for the mistake.

  • A Horsey23

mike tomlin its past time for you to act like a REAL steeper coach and bust their asses! Meet them half way coming off the field and get in their gills and raise HELL! CHUCK NOLL DID IT COWERING DID IT NOW YOU HAVE TO DO THIS! TOMLIN LIGHT A FIRE UNDER THEIR BUTTS! Defensive secondary you are pathetic! We use use to knock the HELL out of receivers and tight end!s

On channel 27 news Mike Tomlin said that it was like a fine wine
we ended up being grape squashers no we are now known as
the cork soakers so get it together let the ravens have their moment they are killers not players and won’t amount to much the rest of the season.
