Source: Max Starks Could Sign With Vikings On Monday

A source has informed me that former Steelers left tackle Max Starks is flying to Minnesota on Monday to possibly sign with the Vikings. Starks has reportedly lost weight and is back healthy following his release from the Steelers prior to training camp beginning. The Steelers might have lost left tackle Jonathan Scott Sunday night for a few weeks with a high ankle sprain. Also injured Sunday night were right guard Doug Legursky and right tackle Marcus Gilbert. Reportedly neither are injured seriously. The Steelers had contacted Flozell Adams a few weeks ago, but no signing was imminent at that time. There is no word if Adams will be contacted due to the injuries suffered to the offensive line against the Colts.

I believe Flozell is looking for a nice paycheck and now we are desperate…I agreed with the Starks release because it lets others know we do not accept people who want to come to camp badly out of shape…he probably wouldnt want to come back here anyways after being released like that

They should be desperate. Flozell shouldn’t have been cut. All 5 O-line starters are dinged up after week 3. They have to find the cap room.
