Steelers Bring In Tackles Ray Willis & Jamon Meredith For Work-outs

Mike Tomlin said during his Tuesday press conference that the Steelers would work out a few tackles today and Scott Brown now reports via Twitter that Ray Willis and Jamon Meredith are being worked out today.

Willis was selected by the Seahawks in the 4th round of the 2005 NFL Draft and played his college ball at Florida State. He started 26 games for the Seahawks at both right guard and right tackle over 5 seasons. He measures in at around 6 foot 6 and just over 300 lbs. He signed with the Dolphins after the lockout ended, but was released before the season started.

Meredith was drafted by the Packers in the 5th round of the 2009 NFL Draft and played his college ball at South Carolina. He ended up on the Packers practice squad in 2009, but was signed off of it by the Bills where he played under Steelers offensive line coach Sean Kugler. He was waived by the Bills during the 2010 season and has had short stays with the Lions and Giants.
