Steelers Ravens Week 1 Practice Injury Report – Thursday

The Steelers got their Thursday practice behind them today in preparation for the Sunday game against the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. The latest injury report has been released and it shows that rookie tackle Marcus Gilbert (concussion) practice fully after being limited on Wednesday. Gilbert looks to be the primary backup tackle Sunday according to comments made by offensive coordinator Bruce Arians today. Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) and rookie linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) both did not practice today and both look doubtful to be ready by Sunday. Cotchery reportedly underwent an MRI today on his injured hamstring and the results of that exam are not yet known. Arnaz Battle will likely serve as the fifth wide receiver this week with Cotchery likely to be made inactive. Carter is expected to be inactive as well.

For the Ravens on Thursday, linebacker Jason Phillips (concussion) was added to the injury report after he did not practice because of a concussion.
