Steelers Seahawks Week 2 Practice Injury Report – Friday

The Steelers wrapped up their final practice on Friday as they get ready to take on the Seattle Seahawks this coming Sunday at Heinz Field. The Friday injury report has wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) as out this week as he has not practiced at all this week with his hamstring injury. Left guard Chris Kemoeatu (knee) and cornerback Bryant McFadden (hamstring) are both questionable on the Friday injury report as both were limited in participation on Friday. Kemoeatu will likely be able to go after having his knee drained earlier in the week, but there is some doubt if McFadden will be ready with his hamstring. Should he be inactive, Keenan Lewis would likely get the start in his place. We will know the status of McFadden for sure 90 minutes before kick-off when the inactives are announced for the game. Cornerback Curtis Brown (ankle) worked fully for a second straight day and is probable.

The Seattle Seahawks ruled out wide receiver Sidney Rice (shoulder) on the Friday injury report. Left guard Robert Gallery (knee) will return to the starting lineup Sunday against Steelers so that means first-round pick James Carpenter will move back to right tackle. Gallery is officially listed as questionable on the Friday report, but will play. Linebacker David Hawthorne (knee) is probable. Linebacker Malcolm Smith (hamstring) is doubtful while defensive end Dexter Davis (hip), tackle Jarriel King (ankle), cornerback Byron Maxwell (ankle) and fullback Michael Robinson (ankle) were all ruled out on Friday.
