Season 2, Episode 22 of The Terrible Podcast is up and David Todd and I try to put the Steelers 23-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts in perspective. The Patriots lost to the Bills, the Jets lost to the Raiders and the Chargers beat the Chiefs by four at home. While things weren\’t perfect in Indianapolis, the Steelers still got the W.
From there we get to the injury report and it\’s a bit longer than we\’ve seen so far this season. Mike Tomlin didn\’t have a lot of answers at his Tuesday press conference, but we share our thoughts on how things might play out on the offensive line and some other areas. We\’ll certainly have more on this as the week rolls on. Under the new CBA, practice in pads during the season is severely limited and we look at a change Tomlin made this week and how we might handle it. We wrap up the Colts game by evaluating how some Steelers players have performed through the first three weeks of the season. Is it too early? Maybe, but we\’ll tell you what we think anyway.
Because of a scheduling conflict we hope to have our beat writer segment in the next podcast. Nonetheless, David and I begin to take a look at the Houston Texans who loom large on the schedule in week 4. Make no mistake about it, this is a very good football team.
We wrap things up by taking a look around the league–who has surprised and who has disappointed–and close with a discussion of Bill Cowher and his Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy.
