Report: Troy Polamalu Handed Phone By Steelers Team Physician

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is suggesting that Steelers safety Troy Polamalu might be fined for talking on a cell phone on the sideline following him leaving the game with concussion-like symptoms.

According to Alex Holmes, Polamalu\’s brother-in-law, the phone was handed to him by the Steelers team physician and that there is no way that he gets fined by the league.

As far as the the prognosis of Polamalu, I was told earlier that he only suffered a mild concussion and that he should be fine. The league is strict with players being cleared properly following concussions through a battery of test, so Polamalu will likely be monitored closely over the next few days, but early signs point to him playing next week against the Cardinals.
